What A Surprise

As some of you may have noticed, we have decorated Kate's nursery with designs by John Lennon.

We had an amazing surprise last night when Christi went to play Mah Jongg at our friend Duncan's house, as she does on a regular basis. This is Duncan with her husband and our friend Rob, and Annie and Dilsey.

A while back, Duncan had asked for a piece of the John Lennon border we had used for the nursery. I had totally forgotten that I had given this to her.

She hand-made the most amazing stuffed dolls based on the Lennon design.

They go so well in the nursery, and the fact that our friend made these by hand means so much to us, as we know it will to Kate.

Cute nursery! What a great friend to make the stuffed animals to match.

Congratulations on your beautiful daughter. We also have a daughter waiting for us in Guangdong at Yangdong SWI. Her name is Katie (well, it's Katharine Grace Guo, but we'll call her Katie.

I'm guessing you're still waiting for your TA? (so are we). Maybe we'll get to know each other (and our daughters can play together) during our extended stay at the White Swan!

If you're interested, you can see our Katie at our blog http://waiting-for-our-girl.blogspot.com/ (well, duh, you can see her picture when you open the comments!).

Also, on the July Dragonfly yahoo group, I'm Kelly in Michigan (aka "notallboysanymore". Do you frequent that group?

All our best to your family,

Kelly in Michigan
